General
Name
- Ryan Davan. This was going to be the body name when he thought of himself as a singlet, and is the only reason he actually has a first and middle name.
Species
- Unknown. He suspects not human, but isn't certain. It's most likely a species with a tail, though.
General Personality
- A bit insane. Ryan tends to be highly paranoid and worried, especially about what other people think of him. He doesn't necessarily care if what they think is correct, as long as it isn't too negative. He'll obsess about things, especially when he doesn't understand something.
Origin
- Presumably, birth. He accepts there is some possibility that somebody was here first. Some. Let him accept that the others are actually people first. He more or less identifies with the body in terms of age and appearance.
Sexuality
- Repulsed asexual, either pan- or aromantic, but not a romantic in the sense of long walks on the beach. In other words: He will never have sex. He may or may not want to date people, and if he does it will be based on who they really are- not their gender or sex. He also probably won't be the kind of boyfriend to surprise his SO with candies or whatever.
Ryan and the System
Acceptance
- Ryan is still hesitant to accept the others in the system is really one of the system. He has various arguments, but they're all pretty lame. The biggest thing seems to be that he's a control freak. Accepting that this is a multiple system means accepting that life decisions will now be based on several people's views on how life should go, not just his. He's starting to get better at realizing this isn't a total negative, but he's still freaked out.
Role
- His current role is soul fronter. Once he leaves the front, he'll still be a main one because people expect the body to act liked him. Over time this may or may not be true. It's hard to say what his role will end up being after he gets unfronted.
The effects of fronting
- This is oddly named, but it's about the effects of fronting for 17 years on him and the system. Mostly it's that he's stuck there and sort of thought he was a singlet. The others never grabbed the body as their own or whatever, no horror stories of lost time or whatever. They just bleed into him sometimes. It's not conscious, it's just bits of their feelings on a subject that'll surface, and the best way to catch it is when he writes about himself.
- I, Ryan, have written everything on this page. I am still the soul fronter, no one has controlled through me. I typed every word, I may not remember each keystroke in detail but I recall hitting each one. "but they're all pretty lame" are Layzar's words. Layzar did not walk over and say in his ear "type this...", but the text was getting onto a subject that they have differing opinions on and Layzar felt strongly enough about it that his feelings bled into Ryan. If Ryan felt strongly that his arguments were good, solid ones- this wouldn't have shown up. But I agree that the arguments are shaky, and don't want to believe that the others aren't real, so his views bled in. I don't resent it, it was a bit weird until I realized what was happening, but they can't express themselves when they take the front if they never front- so having them sometimes express it through me isn't the worst thing.
